Cook County Juvenile Court
Chicago Metropolis 2020 received a grant from the Illinois Court Improvement Program to train and distribute the animated DVD "Inside Him," first in the "Stories for Children That Grown-ups Can Watch" series.
The project is now complete. Over 3,000 copies of the DVD and coloring book were distributed to children and families in Cook County Juvenile Court. The DVD is still showing on waiting room televisions and copies of the DVD and coloring book are still available for children and families. An evaluation was completed, and the responses were very positive. Additionally, over 100 court personnel, including lawyers and judges, were provided training on childhood trauma and the use of the Stories DVDs.
